The beautiful puppy Chauncey pushed her head through the hole at the bottom of the door of her kennel at the Spartanburg Humane Society. She noticed that another dog and his new family had left the shelter.
She was not as categorical as other dogs, which was probably due to her breed. Whatever the reason, Chauncey was clearly having trouble finding her final home.
According to Angel Cox, CEO of the Spartanburg Humane Society, ” Chauncey is too shy to even get to know you.”So I basically watched the world go by while the shelter was full of barking and constant activity.
The staff at the shelter was horrified for Chauncey. They were hoping someone would give the precocious puppy a chance because they felt she had the potential to be a great friend. The staff members entertained Chauncey while she waited by giving her lots of pets and taking her long distances.
She enjoyed being carried and walked by volunteers and staff, according to Cox. She is excellent on a leash, which makes her a favorite of volunteers.
Chauncey was returned to the Humane Society after his first home was found unsuitable. Although she failed, Chauncey is not going to give up trying to locate her relatives.
Eventually, another family got in after seeing a Cha-Cha Facebook post about Chauncey. Chauncey was ready to show her beloved figure to the fullest this time. It was immediately clear that it was the perfect match.
Cox said: “she immediately sold herself out.”She is a very affectionate dog who charmed them with her tenderness.
The staff at the shelter were ecstatic to see Chauncey leave the Humane Society with her family because it meant that the dog finally found her forever at home.
Cox said: “We always grieve for them when they leave, but we were very happy for her to find a wonderful home.”When they are adopted, they are undoubtedly bittersweet, but we are always happy from the inside.
