The WDT said the public need not worry now that King Maha Vajiralongkorn had taken the dog under patronage. The dog remained in the care of Peerapha Suwanich.
Video clips of Tay-tay balancing himself with only two front legs while eating at the shelter melted the hearts of many Facebook users, who widely shared the clip and called for someone to build him a wheelchair.

Then on September 5, Tawatchai Srikaew visited the shelter with Chon Buri governor Pakkarathorn Thianchai. Also present were Poj Sitchanukrit, a representative of Chonburi Livestock Development Office, along with officers from Ban Suan Municipality Office and WDT officials.
As a moral support for the shelter, Tawatchai donated dog and cat food along with the royal gift of His Majesty in the name of his royal pet dog Khun Fu.
Tawatchai visited Tay-tay and the other dogs and praised Peerapaha for her dedicated care for stray dogs and cats at her shelter.

According to WDT, His Majesty told Tawatchai to have a wheelchair build for Tay-tay so that the dog could walk conveniently. Wheelchair expert Dr Gaewalin Surakup from Kasetsart University’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was brought to examine the dog, but found that a wheelchair would be inappropriate for Tay-tay as he is doing well using his two very strong front legs.
