Never underestimate the power of fate.
Just when you least expect it, you may discover something extraordinary or even save a life, like this couple did.
The kind-hearted pair were on a casual walk that day, unaware their world was about to be turned upside down. Then they spotted it: a teeny-tiny dog, freezing in fear and clearly emaciated, roaming the streets in search of help.
Startled by what they had just witnessed, they didn’t think twice. The couple rushed into action immediately!

Instead of leaving this poor dog at the mercy of the streets, the couple rushed him into veterinary care. Street life definitely took a toll on him. He looked extremely exhausted, with his ribs showing and his paws so sore he could barely walk.
Sadly, the couple could not take him in, so they contacted Howl Of A Dog, a rescue organization specializing in saving dogs’ lives.
“Rossi was found roaming the streets, starving and scared. He was rescued and taken to the veterinary clinic, but the couple who rescued him could not keep him,” Howl Of A Dog rescue wrote on their website.
After designing a plan to get the dog, later named Rossi, back on his paws, the HOAD team transferred him to their facility.
Rossi was given 24/7 care alongside other dogs. However, he was still a little traumatized from his previous life. Although his past was unknown and he didn’t have a microchip, there is a big possibility that this fearful boy was abandoned.
He was still very shy, taking every step carefully and being on alert.
Knowing that only time heals a broken heart, rescuers just let him be. They provided him with a lot of space to relax at his own pace and, eventually, Rossi did!
As it turned out, there was a genuinely sweet and loving dog underneath all that fear!
Rossi was just glad to be rescued and he slowly took to his caregivers. He began to shower them with cute smiles and tail wags until he eventually completely came out of his shell.
This Little Shy Boy Is Looking For A Family
If I can say one thing with certainty, it’s that Rossi would definitely be a great addition to any family. He’s fully house-trained, loves walkies, and behaves perfectly well.
“He is still a little shy, but is very affectionate and has a friendly personality. He is fully house-trained and walks very well on a leash,” the rescue added.
At his last checkup, he was diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia which doesn’t require medication at the moment. However, Rossi needs supplements to support his joint health.
Other than that, he is a happy-go-lucky dog who is eager to learn new things. I’m sure his new family is just around the corner, looking forward to meeting him.
Good luck, Rossi! You’re such a sweet boi!
