It’s commonly known that dogs are simple animals and will be our best companions if we give them the love, care, and attention that they deserve.

Somehow, most people do not care to try and see if a pup can improve their life. They take them in just to put them through some horrible things, and there is little anyone can do about it.

This sweet pup spent years living in a factory where he was mistreated. When one of the workers retired, he took the dog with him.

Just when this sweet pooch thought he was finally getting to start a new life, he was chained by the owner and left to suffer in horrible conditions. Luckily, someone would notice his misfortune, and that’s when everything changed.

He Looked So Defeated

When the rescuers were notified about this pup’s condition, they were appalled by how he was treated, so they hurried to his aid.

They examined the dog, and he had quite a few problems. Due to the horrible environment he was in, the poor pup smelled and he looked really hungry. 

The kind rescuers approached him and tried to give him a few pets, but the dog barely reacted. He looked just so defeated.

After that, the rescuers contacted the owner and asked him to turn over the dog so they could help him. It took a while, but they were able to convince him to give him up.

I just don’t understand why he would insist on holding the dog with him considering he was putting him through torture with his treatment. Some people are really hard to understand.

Regardless, the rescuers placed the pup in the kennel and took him into a veterinarian clinic so he could get examined.

Shocking Results

The results were quite shocking. This pup’s left front leg was ulcerated, and he had right atrial edema because of filariasis. He also had quite a few scars.

Nothing could be done about them, but everyone was determined to help this pup find the strength to recover and transform.

In their care, this scarred dog was able to finally relax and just enjoy a nap for the first time. His owner never gave him pets, but he was not used to them at all.

For the first time in his life, it looked like he was happy to be with someone. The veterinarians found that he also had a problem with one of his eyes, which they treated immediately.

And, they placed him on a healthy diet that will build back his strength and help him recover faster.

The pup, now named Lucky, is doing a bit better and the results are optimistic. However, what happened next baffled everyone.

Lucky Is Not Giving Up

Veterinarians noticed that he was unable to stand up for a long time. At first, they thought Lucky was just not used to it, but they quickly realized that his nerves were just not working.

He spent 11 years chained and lying in the same position, never walking, and it took its toll on his body. 

Even though it was unlikely that he would ever walk, his rescuers wanted to provide him with the best possible life during the time he has.

They like to take Lucky outside to enjoy the sun and explore new places that he has never seen before. It was just so heartwarming.

His veterinarians continued treating him in hopes that he might be able to get some relief in his legs, so they could at least put him in a wheelchair.

Unsurprisingly, he made extraordinary progress, and everyone was over the moon to see him start using his hind legs to move.

Lucky was put in a wheelchair where he practiced walking daily, and the results were amazing. With a proper diet and exercise, he was able to overcome all the odds and surprise everyone.

Even though he still has a long way to go, it’s comforting to know that he is surrounded by such amazing people who will do everything in their power to help him live a normal life. I am so happy about that.
